I use whole milk and yogourmet starter and keep it in the cooker for about 12 hours. The taste is great, but I would like it just a bit thicker without having to go the cheese clothe route (which makes it a bit too thick and fatty for my taste.)
Here are my two kombucha mothers after 1 week of incubating in the oven. The green one was made with the multi-green kombucha, containing spirulina, blue-green algae, & chlorella.
